Girly Things and Lovely Paintings

I have been absolutely horrible about taking pictures of orders lately! I have no clue why? Maybe it's because my little models are becoming a bit more uncooperative, or maybe I'm a bit of a procrastinator and am always finishing orders at the VERY last minute and don't have time, either way I've been bad! Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of some things from the past couple of weeks. I made a little onesie with a tutu attached and some flower clips for my friend Angel. The onesie is precious. I totally wish Lily wasn't too old to just wear a onesie!

Then I  made this little tutu set for a friend of a friend. It came out precious! I made a bow and ruffled diaper cover to go with it, but this was the only picture I've gotten from her so far.

Now for a project that is COMPLETELY different from what I typically post on here. We went out for a very dear friends birthday this weekend and has a blast. We started out at this little place called Pinot and Picasso. There is an artist that teaches a step by step class. We did Van Gogh's Cafe at Night. It was rather difficult, but oh so fun. Oh, and did I mention you drink wine the entire time? And in our case, eat birthday cake! This place really was awesome, and there are so many paintings I want to go back and do!! Then we finished with a sushi dinner, mmmmmmm.

Faith's New Dresses Part Two and a Tutu Set

My darling little Faith came home yesterday and modeled her two dresses (completely cooperating with me, I might add). Here she is in her Feliz Easter dress and my new wedges. Aren't they adorable? We got Faith a pair of Born sandals last year and they held up very well, and they were the perfect addition to her summer wardrobe. I got these at DSW and love them. I was browsing/swooning on their website and came across these. Whoa, I know I don't even have to go into how I feel about them. Alright, I didn't create this blog to indulge my shoe fetish so...here is my sweetheart.

On a serious note, she is not always so sweet...and I truly do wish I (I being me, my husband, the grandparents, great grandparents, teachers, friends, etc) could figure out an effective method of thwarting the "other" Faith's frequent appearances. The "other" Faith is moody, defiant, and has a bit of a temper. She refuses to do what is asked of her...

She, for whatever reasons, seems to believe that if she arches her back (as far as she possibly can without falling over) she will be more successful at conveying her message. 

Then she decides that a picture on her Time Out stool would be best (she obviously feels comfortable there, and it's very familiar).

 After we finished this lovely photo session we (inspired from Natasha's post at Samster Mommy) began our glittered egg project. I want to finish ALL of my Easter decorations for one post though, so no final pictures of those tonight. Here is a small preview-

Now for a few pictures of her partner in crime. This tutu set is a size 3-6 month, and it fits 18 month old Lily just fine. She is SO tiny, but really never stops eating. We ate dinner tonight (whole wheat banana chocolate chip pancakes, spinach/onion/turkey bacon omelets, and a kiwi/grape/clementine fruit salad), and she completely cleaned her plate. There wasn't anything on the floor below the high chair. I'd say there was a good fifteen minute period after dinner before she came running out of the kitchen with a Cliff bar for Zach to open. She is as powerful as a garbage disposal, literally. She really hammed it up for me today.

Happy First Birthday!

These two outfits were requests from friends from high school for their sweet babies on their first birthdays. Aren't they adorable? It was my first time to do a birthday hat, but I've been wanting to try. We paid $10.00 for Lily's little one that came from Party City last year, and obviously wasn't personalized or anything. Then I've searched them at boutiques and on Etsy, and the least expensive one I could find was ~$25.00 (+ shipping if on Etsy). I was almost positive I could make them for less than that...almost everything I make is close to half what you would pay in any little baby or children's boutiqe. So anyway, here is little Jackson's shirt and birthday hat.

Here is little Miss Cambrie's outfit. Isn't Cambrie the cutest/most original name you've ever heard? I <3 it. Lily modeled it for me, she is still so little she could probably model anything I do 6mo and up...ha.

Lily did so well as my little model, I was proud of her! I am completely in love with Cambrie's outfit, I love the colors together. I have to say, I was a bit excited when Chloe (Cambrie's mom) told me to just pick whatever colors I wanted to use. As I've said a few times recently, I'm a little burnt out on pink and green...so this was fun for me. I also hadn't done a tutu in quite a while. They are a little tedious, but do you want to know why I love doing them so much? *Don't judge me* I can do them in the living room at night while everyone is sleeping and watch tv at the same time...yes, I know this sounds pathetic. We have one tv in our entire house (I'm not complaining about that), because we don't want the girls sitting in front of it all the time. But anyway, My sewing room is away from everything in the house, and sometimes it is extremely boring to sit and hold a shirt back from the embroidery machine for 30 minutes or so. I can't get up and do anything else, but I'm not really doing anything except for holding some fabric.

Okay I'm done complaining! I am so lucky to have the machines I do, and a great sewing room =). On to the next though. We got the Express catalog in this week and I saw this skirt in it. I want one...really bad...really, really bad. It is $69.50 though, and I decided that I would attempt to make a similar one! Probably without the studs on the denim section, but I think it will look fine without it. Wish me luck!

And the computer is fixed!

Woohoo! Our computer got a really awful virus shortly after Christmas. So therefore, no new pictures or blogging. I wanted to put pictures up of two other really adorable wine bags that I made for two of my friends for Christmas. My sister in law also sent me pictures of my niece in her Rainbow Tutu Set. She looks precious! I made Faith a new outfit too, but I want to finish Lily's coordinating one  before I post pictures of it! Hopefully tomorrow. I have so many really cute ideas for Valentine's Day! I can't wait to go to Austin next week and get them all done. I will try to have them posted by next weekend and begin taking orders then! In the  mean time, I have lots to do. Here are the pictures!

Christmas Presents and More

It is the day after Christmas! Woohoo, I made it! I actually still have a couple of little things to work on...for people I haven't seen yet...haha. We had such a wonderful Christmas with our families. I love them all dearly and am so very blessed to have everyone in my life that I do. So I made a ton of Christmas towels on top of the ones I've already posted, but they are all fairly similar. I don't really think I should keep posting pictures of them. I have plenty of other neat things I've made the past few days! Thank goodness we were in Austin. I would have never been able to get it all done. Thankfully I have a terrific mother and grandmother to help with my rowdy little girls =). I made these wine bags for different members of my family for Christmas presents. I LOVED how they came out. In fact, I told my mom they are one of my favorites so far. I looked up a ton of different directions on how to make them, and then I just kind of did what I thought? I have two more to finish up for friends. Here are the three I did this week. Aren't they adorable? Wine bags are $20.00. You tell me the color scheme and letter. If paying on my blog, there is a $2.00 charge for paypal. I really think they make a perfect gift!

 One of my cousins in Kansas wanted me to make her daughter Madison a birthday outfit. Madison loves Dora so this is what I came up with. Of course, I forgot to take a picture of the bow. It totally completes the outfit! I really am happy with the Dora outfit. I think it will look adorable on her!

I guess I could really do any sort of character set that I could find fabric of for a birthday or just a special set. They have a ton of different fabric choices for all of the Disney characters. This was really the only Dora I saw though. And they had it everywhere I went. JoAnne's, Hobby Lobby, and Wal Mart.

I finished the pink and green tutu set for my friend Crystal. It is so cute.The set is $40.00 and can be in any two colors that you like! The flower applique is from Lynniepinnie. I tried to get Lily to model the outfit, so you could get the full effect, but...you see how well that turned out...haha.

This is an almost complete project. Zach's cousin has twin girls, Camryn and Chloe. I am making letters for their room. I got Camryn's done this week (except for putting the ribbon on to hang them by). The colors came out absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to do Chloe's. I also did some last month that I guess I never posted pictures of. I really thought I put pictures up, but I guess not. I just looked back through and couldn't find them. So here they are too. Custom letters are $12.00 each. I can do any color/theme!

I forgot about the Christmas Market

I forgot to put up the pictures I took of our booth at the Christmas Market. I was really proud of our booth. Crystal and Leslie's wreaths were gorgeous! Check out their blog, they really have some adorable things. I thought my clothes were cute too! Anyway, like I said, I was super proud of our booth. However, the One Minute Manicure lady next to us was the one with all the business! Isn't that crazy. We hardly sold anything. Thank goodness some people had ordered some of the things I had made so they didn't all go to waste.
