Baby Sprinkle Part Dos

Here are the other pictures I was telling you about, ohhhh a week or so ago. I just got home from a wonderful vacation in Kansas! My mom and I had a girls trip and got to visit with a lot of family. Faith and Lily didn't tag along, but I do hope they can next time. We drove, and even with stopping and staying in a hotel there is NO way my little girls could have made a trip like that. I had a hard time sitting still myself (my mom would say that is an understatement). I'm so proud of Zach. He and the girls had a wonderful week without me here! They went to the museum and the zoo, and they really spent some great quality time together. I can't believe that when I got home the house wasn't in complete shambles either! I'm a lucky woman.

So anyway, here are some more pictures. My friend Andrea actually took them, and they are indoor...but at least I have them! Enjoy =)

This is the Mommy to Be wearing her corsage I made her. I also made a little wrist one for Kailee (their four year old)

 This is the shirt I made for Kailee. The font is Itty Bitty from 8 Claw and a Paw.

I made this bib and matching onesie with the last of my most FAVORITE fabric! The Flower font is from Lynnie Pinnie and then I used the Itty Bitty again. I don't ever use a pattern for bibs (maybe I should?), but I just can't see spending money on something so simple!

I really love little ruffle bottomed things =)

Then I did a little burp cloth set. The Zebra Font is from Lynnie Pinnie and the Curlz font is from 8 Claw and a Paw.

Then I did this little black onesie. I got it at Hobby Lobby (black onesies are incredibly hard to find if you didn't know), and the size is pretty weird. It's very short and wide, but I really wanted to do a black one so I got it anyway. The heart font is from Lynnie Pinnie. This was my first time to make one of these onesies with the bow on it, but I think it came out adorable!

The last onesie I did is my favorite! I used the Shabby Crown file from Embroitique. If you follow my blog at all, you know that I had a really difficult time the first time I used this file. I almost always use knit on the ruffles and cut the strips half the size it says to, and when I do that it is SO much easier. Then I just added a little knit ruffle skirt.

Here are the bows and flower clips I made for Camryn that decorated the diaper cake.

I made two hand towels for prizes for our games, but only have a picture of this one. I love this new cake applique! I used an owl for the other one and it was SO cute, but of course, no picture. My cousin Nicole makes owl towels a lot, and they really are the best addition to a kitchen or bathroom!

I think that is all! On a different note, does anyone know anything about gardening at all? All of our plants appear to be doing great. In fact, we have a TON of little bell peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, and blueberries. However, out zucchini and squash plants have been flowering for a good three weeks now...and still NO vegetables. Is this normal? Everyone have a lovely day!

Happy Mother's Day to All!

Let me begin with a few pictures from the Mother's Day Tea at Faith's school this week. I had done a post with a picture of the precious little invitation here. She was so polite and sweet when I came up to the school I could have cried. It was a wonderful little bit of time that we got to spend together!

This was my plate that was waiting for me after Faith came out and got me to escort me to my seat.

Now before I go on to pictures from our Mother's Day Brunch that we had today, I'd like to share one of the sweetest pictures I have ever taken of my little loves. I try to wake up early in the morning so I have some quiet time to drink my coffee, do some yoga, and just enjoy the peacefulness. I find that if I do this, my days start SO much more cheerfully than if not. However, it just doesn't happen every day. Many times I am honestly too tired to drag myself out of bed and miss that last hour of sleep. When I don't wake up first, Faith comes into our room to awake me around seven. Her "Good morning" changes with the day. Sometimes she is sweet and loving, and she hugs me while softly saying, "Good morning, Mommy." Other days, she wakes up bursting with energy and I am awaken with yelling and jumping on the bed. The one thing about the morning that is fairly constant is Lily laying right next to me. She still sleeps with us *sigh*, and Faith wakes her up every morning as well. The other morning I woke up and noticed that Lily wasn't in our bed. Zach was in his usual spot, and the house was still quiet, but no Lily. I immediately got up, thinking to myself, "The kitchen is probably destroyed...I hope they haven't broken anything...". When I walked into the kitchen (which was totally in tact) I heard a little voice saying, "You see Lily, that's why we only feed the fish so much and no more." When I walked into Faith's room they were lying together in bed, cuddled up reading a book. These two girls hardly EVER cuddle anymore. When they are that close to each other it is usually to pull hair, pinch, or bite. That was one of the very BEST mornings I have had in a very long time. The moments like that are truly what make being a mom the greatest gift.

I made a few little things to accent our dining room and make our Mother's Day Brunch a little more festive this year. We hosted the brunch, for several different reasons. The main one is that going to a meal in public has become more of a hassle than anything...I will spare you the details (even though I'm sure several of you know).  I think I'll actually keep the decorations out for a while, they all came out perfect!

Then I made a couple of new hand towels for my kitchen.

I made this table runner.

I also made this little banner inspired by one that I saw on Tatertots and Jello

Now for the good stuff, the food. I made a spinach quiche (my husband's favorite), an enormous fruit salad with every berry imaginable *in my first watermelon basket ever*, whole wheat banana and chocolate chip waffles, cranberry orange scones (these are actually them, not much work, but DELICIOUS), apple cider sausage from Samster Mommy's recipe, chocolate covered strawberries *made by Faith*, and ordered a delicious red velvet cake.

I've been wanting to make one of these watermelon baskets for the longest, and it wasn't quite as hard as I thought it would be...definitely messy, though.

The cake was to die for.

Easter- We're Ready for YOU!

Here is the Easter decoration post I've been babbling about, and I think all of my little decorations turned out just lovely. My house definitely looks like spring now!

I'll go through my little projects piece by piece. First up, the Easter banner. I have made this banner several times and just love it. I got it at Embroitique. I actually have both, the Party banner and the Love banner. I wish the Love one could stay up all year round (don't tell anyone that I just took it down last week), but it was time for something more spring-ish!

Then here are the glittered eggs that Faith and I made with the help of a tutorial from Samster Mommy. They are our centerpiece for the breakfast table in our kitchen. I've decided a couple of days later that they might be a little too tempting to sit in the middle of the table we always eat at, but we'll see.

Then I made these little hand towels for our kitchen. The egg was a freebie from Lynnie Pinnie and I just sewed all the ruffles on to the others. I've used those same four fabrics for ALL of my Easter things. I love them all.

Lastly, here are the two place mats I made for Zach and my spots at the table. Why two, you ask? Well, if I made four, the other two would be completely unused, because Faith and Lily have to eat on the plastic ones...I'm sure you know why. I might pick them up two Easter ones to coordinate with ours.

That sums up my Easter decor! I'm working on completing an order for my cousin's little girl and finishing up Lily's Easter dress now. I finished these flower clips for my cousin, and am almost finished with her letters! Yay, on to her dress =). These satin clips were inspired by all of the little flowers that Jessica makes at Mia Joie, I love all of hers and the ones I see on Etsy. I think they are the perfect alternative to a bow!

Busy busy, but here are some new pictures!

We're in Austin this weekend. I have been able to get SO much more done than usual! My mom and grandma are such an enormous help. So anyway, I basically have not one thing fully completed. I do have a lot of pictures of "almost" finished projects! I feel accomplished. I still have so much more to do before Tuesday though! My niece wanted a rainbow tutu outfit for her Christmas present. I decided to add a little leopard and think its adorable. The heart font on the shirt is from Lynniepinnie. I am still going to put a leopard bow on her tutu and then make a combination of leopard and the colors for her hair bow. I know it is a little wild. But I love it! I think she will too. If you are interested in this set it is $50.00. This includes a tutu, bow, and shirt. I know that it is more than I usually charge for a set, but there are so many colors that it costs more to make it.Then I got two out of the four bags I need to get done made. They are really cute. I used the vintage font on both of the bags from swakembroidery.com. They are both for little boys. I guess you could tell that without me letting you know, but I'm a little tired and not all there...haha. The bags are $22.00 as usual, with a name. I can do whatever colors/theme you like. The "S" shirt is going to go with a pink and green tutu and bow. That set is $40.00 with a two colored tutu. One of my friends ordered it from me for a friend's daughter. I love the flower. It is from Lynniepinnie. I hadn't used it yet and now I can't wait to make one for Faith and Lily! Last but now least are the Christmas towels I made for my Granny. She was so happy with them. The hohoho file was from Lynniepinnie and the Gingergirl from swakembroidery.com. I don't really see a reason to put a button on for the towels...Christmas is in four days. I couldn't make anymore in time if anyone wanted them. But for next year, they are 10.00 each! Or two for $18.00. Everything purchased on my blog has a $2.00 charge added in for paypal.

 

 

Hopefully I will have a few more pictures tomorrow! I should also have the completed outfits that go with this blog! Now off to go eat lunch and sew some more. Oh, and I have to finish addressing out Christmas cards...yes I know, very late this year. 

It's Official

I am the WORST blogger ever right now. I can't keep up. I've been staying up late finishing projects and such and by the time I am done I just fall asleep. I haven't had time to put any new pictures or blog at all the past couple of weeks! This will only have a couple of pictures too, but I had to put up something new. I was so busy preparing for the Christmas Market (that turned out awful by the way). It was freezing and raining ALL day. So here are the towels I did for part of Faith's presents for her teachers. I loved every single one!

 

 

Faith's teacher ordered a birthday shirt from me for her little girl Molly. Here it is. Birthday shirts are $20.00 with a name and number. You pick the colors. Paypal charge of $2.00 is added at check out.

I will try my very hardest to blog again tomorrow with more pictures! I have done so many other things and have forgotten to take pictures. I hate when that happens! But for now, these will do. Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
