Thanksgiving Week

Well this week has been super busy! I did get a couple of things done. I finished baby Gavin's blanket. He is in the NICU and will be for a while so I wanted to make him something really bright and cheerful to help keep his spirits up. This project ended up being MUCH harder than I had anticipated. After several attempts, here is the outcome. I think its adorable!
I also got the girl's Thanksgiving shirts done, just in the nick of time, ha! I think they came out cute though =).

We are leaving today to begin our week long celebration! Yay for vacation. Will blog again on Monday as I won't have my sewing machine to get anything done while I am in Austin. However, I do have three orders to finish up next week so there will be lots of new pictures! And I HAVE to start our stockings!

PayPal Purchases

I plan to get some sewing done this evening (will have pictures tomorrow), but the main reason for this post is that I didn't realize there was a charge on paypal orders! I am going to have to up the prices on the blog $2.00 on everything. BUT anyone can feel free to email me and I will email them my address for a check and then you will not have to pay the extra! Sorry for this inconvenience. I suppose I should have researched it a little better! Anyway, I did do one really cute Christmas kitchen towel for my kitchen and another Christmas bow I will put pictures of. I love how the towel came out! I can't wait to make one more, and then start putting up all of my stuff yay! The towel is 10.00 or 2 for 16.00. The bow is 8.00. Buying them off of here will make it 12.00, 2 for 18.00, and 10.00.

Outfits for Faith and her new gymnastics bag

So far I haven't tried any sewing patterns. I have only done plain skirts like these. I can't wait to try and make Faith and Lily some cute little pants to go with some of their shirts. I am going to try my first pant pattern tomorrow! Wish me luck. Here are a couple of outfits I've done for Faith. These aren't available to purchase yet, just wanted to show them. I want to be more comfortable with sewing before I begin selling items like this. She loves wearing things I make her. It makes me so proud that she is so proud! She wanted a "long, big girl skirt" which is where the lollipop outfit inspiration came from. Now here is something I made Faith that is for sale! I made her a new gymnastics bag. She loves it and wants to use it for everything. I can do cheerleading and dance girl figures also. This one if from swakembroidery.com and I think she is just too cute. The bag is 22.00 personalized with a name.

Bows Bows Bows

I wanted to put some pictures of some bows I've made on here so I figured I would do a post just for that! I can do a custom order with any colors. All of these bows are 8.00.

I also did a special bow for Faith's birthday with a flower on top. This bow is 12.00. It came out adorable and we got so many compliments on it!

Brayden's Birthday Presents

I made Brayden three shirts for his birthday presents. I just love how they came out! They are 15.00 each for long sleeve! I can do the tie in any fabric. I just ordered business cards, YAY. They are adorable. I can't wait to get them in! Now I need to go clean, Lily is still napping and Faith is at school and I have been on the computer for far too long. Also here is a picture of the shirt Brayden's mom ordered for me for him to wear at his party. It is 20.00 for the name and number of your choice!

A fun weekend and new tutu sets!

Nana came to visit this weekend, which is always tons of fun! We went shopping and to Rainforest Cafe, which both girls absolutely LOVED.We had the best day. I also got quite a bit of work done this weekend. I crossed of my list- Jayden's 2nd birthday outfit, Lily's Christmas tutu set, and Diana's Christmas tutu set. I was very happy with the outcome of all three! The only thing is that Lily's shirt was crooked on the mannequin ( but isn't actually crooked), and I really wish I would have noticed it when we were taking pictures! The Christmas tutu sets include a tutu (red and green or red and white), appliqued Christmas shirt, and 1 large bow or 2 small bows. The appliques of the present and Christmas tree are from lynniepinnie.com and I love them! The birthday set includes the same as the Christmas but is also personalized with the name and is 45.00. I can do any colors on it.

One Christmas outfit down

So I finished one of Faith's Christmas outfits this past week. It is for her Santa pictures, I love how it came out. The white shirt is from Old Navy and the embroider file from Sew Forum. Lily's is next, hers will be a red and white tutu though, and a red shirt with a candy cane. Pictures soon. Also, I finished Brayden's birthday shirt, but still have to finish his birthday presents!

I am doing the Christmas outfits for a couple of friends. It is 40.00 for a tutu, long sleeve shirt with any Christmas applique/embroidery and either one matching big bow or two small for pig tails. I will put the pay pal button on here by the outfit as soon as my account gets confirmed! Now I must go try to finish cleaning my sewing room (storage closet). It is a complete wreck, I'm not really sure how anyone can keep an area like that clean. I'll learn, but now is the perfect time. There are no interruptions in my quiet house.

Beginning to Blog

So I haven't ever done a blog before, but due to recent interests in some of the projects I have been working on, I thought this would be an easy way for people to view/purchase some of them if they wanted. I am so thankful for the sewing/embroidering machine I got for my birthday. I am loving learning how to use it! It is so much fun. I'm also super thankful to my cousin, Nicole, as she has answered the five million questions I have already had. I've been trying to do at least a project a week and so far have been successful! It is a bit hard to find the time sometimes but I am making time. I know this will be a good way for family and friends to keep up with Faith and Lily and their everyday changes! They just turned four and one. I can't imagine having two children be any more energetic! They are both so smart and sweet though.
